Yeah, but when you don't believe in God you don't really have the feeling for the other meaning of the word that the religious have. I never said there wasn't a religious connotation - it was you who implied the religious connotation was necessary part. And you were mistaken. Your words: "Respect I have no problems with. But I think reverence is something more. " The second defintion in my dictionary makes it look pretty much equivalent. And in my online dictionary "I revere genius" is the illustrative sentence. Looks like respect to me. I never argued that one of the definitions wasn't religious. You seem to be implying that I did, which is incorrect.
