And I think that when one heads a country that has diverse religions the right to profess one religion is not inappropriate but wrong. It is not a matter of free speech.
It is a matter of separation of church and state. Now what the leader does on his own in his own time and what church he attends and what he believes is his own affair. But to use the office he holds to profess any God or any religion in my opinion is not kosher.. You use the word platform. That is even more flagrant as platform means a place from which to set forth ones own ....whatever.

Maybe you will find this a shame... but one can be very religious and private about it.

Today I read an editorial where both parties now are starting to invoke the God thing. Like God is on our side. It's like now that we know the Red States want God that the politicians will use this as a tool.. to make what they do approved by a higher power. This is so fake and disingenuous..

I think this is wrong. That politics and religion and political office in particular should stay out of the religion game. God belongs to whomever calls on his name and this means Muslims,Jews, Jehovah Witnesess,Hindu's,Buddhists..and everything in between. We are a Christian Nation but we are also a nation of diversity and acceptance of all faiths.
