One of the services I subscribe to has been bearish for better part of a year and selling short mostly the stocks that have significant recovery since the bubble crash. This one remains bearish and has not called a turn still skeptical of this being a bull market.

A second one I subscribe to is bullish for the long term more than a year but bullish on stocks that have been doing research work that goes unseen until the products or services appear----innovation. (These are the more difficult ones to spot.) And, some of the old friends we had as money makers will not be a part of that----unless they are the innovators.

Regarding indices------what would be your interpretation if you look at the long term picture going back to bubble-crash and even before-----how do your indicators line up.

I know you focus on the short term for trading; however, I think that longer term charts may be of value in assessing the general market direction for 2005.

When I find the short term confusing----then I back off and look at the long term------then I can come back refreshed.

This is kind of like-------taking an evening off for jazz and then coming back to the market with a renewed perspective on my part.
