Kaiser says buy Tintina and waltz on stage with Mo

2005-01-19 16:14 ET - In the News

John Kaiser, writing in a Jan. 13 Tip of the Day, says Tintina Mines Ltd. is recommended a top-priority bottom-fish buy in the 20- 29-cent range on the premise that the current strong market for molybdenum has staying power and that Tintina management will aggressively pursue development of the high-grade core of the Red Mountain moly deposit. Mr. Kaiser says Tintina (then 29.5 cents) is the owner of the Red Mountain molybdenum deposit at 187 million tonnes of 0.1 per cent Mo. The company acquired the property in 1975 and optioned it to Amoco which drilled off (32 holes 21,391 metres) a pre-43-101 inferred resource of 187.27 million tonnes at 0.1 per cent Mo at a 0.06 per cent Mo cut-off calculated in 1992 by Shahe Sabag. The deposit is open at depth and includes a high-grade core estimated at 21.3 million tonnes of 0.176 per cent Mo at a 0.15 per cent Mo cut-off. During 2003 Tintina had the foresight to stake an additional 174 claims surrounding the core 22-claim block and initiated environmental baseline studies discussions with local aboriginal groups. Mr. Kaiser notes that the Red Mountain story has been around for more than two decades, but it now has the potential to take centre stage.
