Ha! They are full of crap. I grew up in Texas and lived in Texas during Richards and Bush's governorship. He had the twang then and he has it now. About six months ago, I saw a video clip from 1994 when he was running for governor. He spoke like a northeasterner, and not a Texan. There was no twang. Many people make fun of southerners. Northerners especially think southerners are stupid, because they talk slower and have an accent. It's really naive to underestimate people because of the way they talk. I placed no judgement on the twang and its indication of intellect. I simply said he acquired the Texan twang some time during his tenure as governor. ted
