Actually a lot of scientific study does exist on these subjects and not by stupid scientists. What happens is that bigots look at the research and they make a bunch of hay about causation. The result is that a lot of folks backed out of doing or even talking about the research due to the pressures associated with how their work was being viewed. Could you provide just one specific example of significant research that was stopped by feminist bigotry and not because it was a waste of time and money. Left handed men and right handed men also use their brains differently. No one made much of that. That kind of study is really trivial when compare to what Dr. Summers was musing about concerning genetics. Dr. Summers may be very good at economics, but it would seem he knows very little about the hard sciences of biology and genetics. No one is asking for a Constitutional amendment to deny Dr. Summers his right to free speech. In fact we are requesting that he explain himself more fully. We have reason to believe that his logic is wrong. We are not trying to suppress his thoughts. We are asking Dr. Summers to fully explain himself and let the scientific community judge whether what he says has any validity. If men are inherently superior to women wrt mathematics, science, or anything else - there is nothing anybody can do about it. That is the way it is. Nobody will be able to suppress the truth. If that is not true, than a lot of harm is being done for no good reasons. Do you use any medicine that is for women only? When someone studied that - did you compare them to Nazi's or refuse to use the medicine? I don't see the connection. I don't understand any logic behind that. IMO there is some parrallel when German doctors and scientists during the Nazi era did research wrt to race with what Dr. Summers is musing about. I am fairly convinced that most German doctors and scientists at the time were sincere. It was just that some of the stuff was very bad science - meaning not very smart stuff. Their bad but sincere research was used later on for reasons that were not wholly scientific. What does that have to do with someone working on developing a better birth control pill for use by women?
