How do you feel about the shiaa acceptance of a secular Iraq per NYTimes today? I dont want to sound too optimistic here but i suspect post-election the current insurgency will have some real problems as shiaa invite sunnis in to particpate, more iraqi forces begin to be deployed, american forces move to low profile and kurdish and shiaa militias start to go after the insurgents who have been killing their people. The big question is whether the sunnis come to their senses or if they are able to with help. Regardless of your opposition to the war etc, you would have to agree that if the above all happens it is better for iraq than zarquawi and/or baath rule, no?????
