MY point to you is that even if history proves you right about the invasion, once that invasion became a fact, decisions need to be made from that point on. So you can be as pissed off as you want and rightfully so given your beliefs, but that does not mean it is impossible for us to agree on next steps. So lets say, next steps are the reverse of vietnamization--disengagement rather than sending more troops and allowing shiaa and kurds to do some of the heavy lifting and trying to find a way to include sunnis in the new order. IF all this is done and done well, my belief is that there is a real possiblity that the insurgency splits up as nationalists move toward reconciliation while rejectionist terrorists get their clocks cleaned by all the forces surrounding them including their former nationalist allies. I am not saying this happens in a day but i sense that is a possible outcome. I heard that we got another zarquawi guy yesterday and zarquawis language indicates that he expects a long guerrilla struggle. mike
