TORONTO, Jan. 24 /CNW/ - Atlantis Systems Corp. ("Atlantis") (TSX:AIQ - News) announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Atlantis Systems International, has been awarded 2 new contracts for a total value of $3.2 million. The first contract is from L3 Communications, Link Simulation, and Training for Phases 1 and 2 of the incremental update of the US Navy E-6 Tacamo Simulated Aircraft Maintenance Trainer (SAMT) at Tinker Air Force Base. Atlantis will deliver a proof of concept technology demonstrator in an Integrated Maintenance Training System (IMTS) configuration.
The second contract is from Boeing Integrated Defense Systems for additional Student Aircraft Interface Trainer Stations (SAITS) for the U.S. Navy's F/A-18 Visual Environment Maintenance Trainers. This contract builds on Atlantis' successful performance on the F/A-18 IMTS suites, for which Boeing was also the prime contractor.
In addition, Atlantis is pleased to announce that it has achieved site acceptance of 8 IMTS suites in Williamtown, Australia and in Cold Lake, Canada. Atlantis has delivered 3 IMTS suites to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and 5 to the Canadian Forces (CF). Andrew Day, President and CEO of Atlantis, states "We are pleased to deliver these systems and both the RAAF and the CF have told us that this product has exceeded their expectations. As demonstrated by these 2 additional contracts, we believe that there is a strong market for these highly sophisticated maintenance trainers."
