The argument is fallacious. My complaint is not that animals or plants do not have rights. As you may recall, I assert that animals and plants do have rights. Animals, plants, and the natural condition of the Earth itself have rights over humans as humans have responsibility for other creatures. As Michael points out they are different according to species. Similarly animals and humans are different according to species and according to their natural placement in the biosphere.

All of the questions and answers in this AR treatment are nullified by the efforts of the author(s) to anthropomorphize the circumstance of non-human animals.
