"If abortion is part of the human drama for women and always has been, it doesn't seem fair to me that poor women should die and rich women should live, although I sincerely wish that abortions were never performed at all."

Ever heard of the oldest profession? Just because women have been prostituting themselves since the beginning of time doesn't mean that you, your husband or I should endorse it as an exceptable activity for you to engage in.

Just because trillions of flies eat crap doesn't recommend the practice for everyone else.

When we endorsed Roe v Wade, we did something good for the hand ful of women who might have suffered from back alley abortions. Now that abortions are an exceptable cultural standard we see them performed in the millions and we probably have more incidenses of unhealthy attempts by individuals to abort.
