Pretty much every tragic fall is completely unnecessary. Look at anyone in the public eye who has been whacked with the ugly stick, and you'll think "Why? It wasn't necessary." People who had everything going for them, security assured for themselves and their families. But enough wasn't enough. Everybody understands the poor man who robs a Brinks truck, but the wealthy person who lies to make a couple of hundred thousand is unfathomable.
