And, you all who supported Tony through all this I'd like to see some of you show some real courage by writing Judge Dearie with a proposal how aside from merely being sent to rot in prison for years, AP can make some very public amends for what he did. Not one of his victims, those he defrauded, is completely served by him only serving time in prison. While there, in return for a reduced sentence, he should be ordered to cooperate with the government to rout out fraud, which he can do, no one here is arguing that many of the companies AP targeted were not complete scams. HOW he did it is the problem, and the trading against his own public recommendations is completely inexcusable to any here who saw his recs and his statements.
Now, I am quite sure that AUSA Breen is going to bring further indictments if those who were involved also don't come forward now. So, please do, and anything you know about parallel scams perpetrated online well I'd for one say it's time to announce your knowledge to the government, direct them to the evidence, whether related or not. |
