That is the first I heard of it. What drugs was Dan Rather on? The man who willingly sacrificed his career in the attempt to end the Presidency of President George W. Bush was saying nice things about him? Ok, he probably never thought that blatant partisanship could destroy a reputation already tagged with bias and partisanship as much as his falsehoods and attempted cover up did. But still, the comment you posted sound fairly nice and respectful. This is not the sort of bile that got him forbidden from interviewing the President. Bill (potted) Plante is right on queue with the Democrat agenda.

Do you suppose it was a set up? Dan asked Bill to be the critic so he could come off as sounding fair? Actually, that is probably what was going on.
