Sidney, You're just another alarmist. Why shouldn't the government have an act, like the Patriot Act, in times where terrorists are trying to harm the citizens with most of the resources they have?
As far as losing our privacy goes, that has happened for decades, but some people haven't even noticed it. So what?? If a person doesn't have any skeletons in his closet, he has nothing to fear from the government. Just because some malcontent wrote a book, don't make it true.
If politics and Christianity were to merge, I would have no problem with that. There are serious problems in the family units of this country, brought about by drugs, and excessive use of alcohol. There are too many woman that have multiple children, but have never been married. Homosexuality is running rampant in the streets. I don't care if someone is gay, or not, but when they have things like the Gay Pride parades, where they make lewd gestures, and show their bare butts to the public, that is going too far in my book, and should be banned. The majority of this nation has no moral foundations, and are a blight.
I'm am not blind, and know a lot more about the conditions in this country, than you may want to believe, but I have nothing in my past, or present, that I fear being publicized. A more dangerous movement than a national identity card, is what is happening with hackers getting into personal computers, and finding ways to steal millions of dollars from citizens. Those people are using the system that has been in effect for decades, and has nothing to do with a national ID card.
The fear of having a government agency know something about your past, and present, is why you libertarians will never get one from your party elected to the presidency. You guys are as radical as the SDS. |
