Now I understand why it is that so many people believe that Iraq had WMDs in 2003. Let's use neocon logic to analyze the question of whether or not the Titanic is resting on the bottom of the Atlantic:
(a) There are no photos showing the Titanic sinking. On the other hand, there are plenty of photos showing that the ship did, in fact, float.
(b) Even the French and German newspapers reported that the Titanic was unsinkable.
(c) We know that sea captains generally don't sink their ships, therefore it is highly unlikely that Captain Smith sank his.
(d) The White Star Liner company worked hard for years on building the Titanic, why would they sink it without a reason.
(e) There is documentary evidence showing that, for example, a whole lot of steel was used in the construction of the Titanic, but there is almost no evidence that this steel was ever destroyed.
(f) While there are a small number of witnesses who claim that they saw the Titanic sink, it is also true that they were on board the boat. So they're undoubtedly lying in order to protect themselves from being punished for whatever they did with the Titanic.
(g) If they were going to sink the Titanic, there was no reason for them to do it so secretively. Why not sink it at 3PM in New York harbor so the world would know for sure?
