That makes more sense. Democrats and their media allies are back at the we need higher taxes rant. That would explain the exchange with Dan Rather better than the Mutt and Jeff routine suggestion of mine.

Yes, on the higher taxation issue, they are probably trying to bait him and set him up for the "I told you so's."

Thanks for the reminder about Democrats. It is too easy to start thinking of the as too stupid to plot an election comeback, but you are correct that they are crafty and morally bankrupt. They will do or say anything to get back into power. Recently they have resembled the desperate lonely high school boy who doesn't ever understand that the girl who tells him she has to wash her hair on Saturday night is really telling him to get lost; she would rather lather than listen to his blather. Democrats will be back, even if they have to destroy half of Washington get regain their power.
