Exactly, Elroy. A "religion-free zone." Hence, Democrats favoring "freedom FROM religion." And with government penetrating more and more into our everyday lives, this "religion-free zone" will continue to expand.

What are you talking about government putting more and more restrictions on your ability to practice your religion? You just can't use government paid for structures or government funds to promote and practice your own specific religion. That seems totally appropriate to me as religion is a private matter, and other people of different religions don't want their tax dollars going to promoting your religion. It's not that complicated, and it seem appropriate.

What percentage of your tax dollars do you want spent on building Bhuddah statues in state court houses?

This is where the battle is, Elroy, the public arena. It's pointless to say, "You can be as religious as you want, in private" because one can also say, "You can be as non-religious as you want, in private."

Well both statements seem accurate and appropriate to me, so I don't see your beef. And there aint much of a "battle" because as far as I can tell attempts to use public money to promote specific religions usually lose in the courts. Its more an affirmation of the way things are in the US.
