Some thoughts on Q3: Mory has stated there will be 'low double digit sequential growth' through the upcoming year, as well as 'no significant pricing pressures' forseeable. Previously he has stated:

'access concentrators
and sales through the ISPs and telcos are projected to increase
by approximately 70% year-over-year, to approximately $1.7
billion in 1997. In the backbone router IP switching space, this
customer group is projected to increase purchases by
approximately 50%, to about $1.5 billion in 1997.'

These products represent the majority of ASND revenues. CEO's have been known to shade the truth, or make disingenuous, evasive self-serving statements...but outright, bald-faced lying? To a group of analysts? Fehgeddaboudit. Your life expectancy on The Street is about 24 hours.

Unless one is of a mind that Ascend has decided to commit corporate suicide, this quarter is going to be okay.
