Wow! 9 to 12 months of declining strength?!? I can't see me being able to deal with that emotionally!
As it is right now, I'm just extremely bummed that I'm feeling so weak, but am also optimistic that I should be strong enough to go back to work sometime this week.
If it were track season, I'd be despondent! Because I couldn't currently handle the drive to the track, let alone the grueling but intensely enjoyable hours spent on the track.
My doctor has assured me that if this battery of blood tests doesn't reveal the culprit, we'll keep testing until we find out what's going on.
My ticker should be in great shape, though. Shortly before the onset of this stuff, I was getting concerned about my ticker because of occasional chest pain, and an episode where, without warning, I was suddenly dry heaving and my blood pressure shot up so high I got a major spontaneous nosebleed.
They ran me on the treadmill and I passed that with flying colors.
I've still got the paperwork here to get tested to make sure I'm not diabetic or hypoglycemic, but that got put off when my sore throat started. I'll do it later. Would've today, but it's one of those fasting things and shortly before my wife picked me up for my appointment, I couldn't go another minute without calories, so had an Ensure (not bad if you hold your breath) before she got here.
I'm sure whatever this is, I'll get through it eventually and will be strong as a horse again. The sooner the better. |
