First of all there are way to many buts in that article to be taken as much more than one person’s biased view. Second, I have no doubt that the CIA has used what ever and who ever was convenient to advance covert operations that were in America’s interests. This is similar to what undercover cops in our civil police do in their operations. Some of those associations occasionally break down and the informant finds himself in prisons strategic alliances become enemies. I personally have a problem with the whole covert venue. However, it is a fact of life that one time allies become enemies and vice versa. Circumstances change and so do relations. Second, These people were at one time in good standing as citizens: Jeffry Dahmer, Charles Manson, Ted Bundy. We have re-assessed our view of them… Did WE demonize our one time friends and neighbors. What would you choose for us to have as a relationship to Saddam and these old friends in 2005? I’d say …YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING … but I know you are just cluelessly acting out your air headed self-hate stuff, so I forgive you. See how nice I am!
