In many cases, atheists are so blinded by their own intellectual arrogance and their disdain for religion, that they don't even apply the scientific method to God and religion.

If an atheist truly did use scientific rigor in their thinking, then at best they could say, "I have no hard evidence that there IS NO God. I also have no evidence that there IS a God. Therefore, I can come to no conclusions about God." That would make him an agnostic, not an atheist.

However, an atheist believes that there is no God, but he has no evidence to PROVE there is no God. So you tell me. Are atheists really the intellectual superiors here? Perhaps they have not given the whole thing a thorough, unbiased scrutiny.
