The instructions within the DNA of the cell] if written out, would fill a thousand 600-page books. In the human genome most of those books would be filled with gibberish. The actual genes are but a small part. Most scientists were surprised at how little of the DNA within humans actually codes for genes. There is an explanation though. The entire population of humans was reduced to about 10,000 or less at a time about 100,000 years ago.
