My father was curious, so in the seventies he traveled out to see Chappaquiddick. At the time (about 1972) there was nothing out there but roads and a very few houses. His assessment was that there was only one reason Teddy could have driven a drunk girl out there, and that was to be undisturbed.

If you venture out there now it is rather more developed. Maybe we should raise money to erect a monument to Teddy's conquest. (What an irony, that you erect a monument too.) Teddy is the famous sub mariner of Chappaquiddick. Only the Kennedys could have made manslaughter and failure to report an accident promptly end on with a Senate seat.

PS - Question for John Forbes Kerry. Do you think Teddy's endorsement helped?
