Was Cramer cleared by a court or SEC of by his employer? - major difference obviously as we are talking about criminal stuff here.

The matter never came close to going to court. And actually I was partially confusing the Wavephore incident with an earlier, pre-TheStreet.Com investigation of Cramer, which also ended in his being cleared. In the Wavephore case, Cramer settled matters with the SEC within hours. His relationship with CNBC took quite a bit longer to repair.

Have you seen him on the show? He makes a big deal about not trading anything discussed for a week (I think.)

Yes, his restrictions as a condition of holding down the CNBC gig, the radio show gig, and the columnist gig. Right now I happen to know he's stuck in a position in CHTR he badly wants to get out of, solely because of those restrictions.
