Jim:. AAPL acquired only PWRC's "core assets" - no liabilities It looks like an interest free asset acquisition for a $100 mill of AAPL stock , structured by AAPL's CFO Anderson , S. Jobs and its NEW board. It was a necessary strategic move to control AAPL's, MOT's & IBM's hardware/software technology that was licensed to a prodigal cloner. PWRC now owns part of AAPL and may yet turn out to be that vendor of WINTEL/Rhapsody for AAPL that ole Dr Gil mentioned as a possibility. IBM's field general Thompson , when asked about NOVL last week at NY's Internet Bus. World , diverted to AAPL saying it has to address its licensing . Looks like a good TIMELY deal for ALL parties .
