Hello EP, <<Occaaasionally, a heavily escorted truck convoy brings in heavy items ... It's real hard to sneak up in the desert. No cover or concealment ... I don't see this as being a problem - what do you see ?>>

I do not see water being convoyed, and I sure do not see H2O being airlifted, and yet I know troops and tanks all nee water. I see water supplies cut, poisoned, or simply unavailable, and I see convoys not getting through at all, and I figure wounded will not get out as soon as them shoulder-fired missiles are positioned near airports.

No, base in Cuba will be quite different than bases in the Iraqi sands, and not only in distance, but also in details.

I see the troops in sandy bases in Iraq demoralized by day due to lack of action, and demoralized by night due to lack of action, as the sands of time slip away, and supplies get intermittent.

Chugs, Jay
