That's another thing that got to stop. It's been proven time and time again that those backpacks are injuring kids. They have more back, neck, and leg problems because of overloaded
backpacks. Some school officials are saying that the kids are just not wearing them properly but the truth of the matter is the backpacks aren't for comfort, they're made to hold as much as possible.

I'd like to see school officials, teachers and anyone else who makes school policies to do the following:

Get up at 6:00am to stand out on a street corner no matter what the weather and wait anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes for the school bus.

Travel in the school bus wearing long pants no air conditioning and sit in traffic for up to 45 minutes in the heat of the school year while wearing no seat belts because none are provided.

Not get to school in time for anything to eat and have to wait until lunch because the school won't allow anything to eat on the buses.

Wait in line for lunch only to find out that they only have 10 minutes to eat because the lines were too long for their alloted 25 minutes of lunch time so they are forced to go through the rest of the day with nothing more in their stomachs then a drink.

I'd like for them to do this not just one day or even a week. I'd like to see them do this for 30 school days minimum and see how long they last. I can almost bet you they can't and things will change tout de suite.

It's an out right scandal what these kids hafta go through all the while the school officials are sitting up there fat, dumb and happy.
