Keith, While it would be nice to have both 2x1MB and 2x512K on desktop, AMD needs to set priorities, and I think server is the highest priority. Given all the configuration of number of cores and cache sizes, 2x512KB is just another model that can be brought out anytime AMD puts some resources on it. 2x512 configuration would be only a little north of Newcastle, so it should is not impossible to see AMD move these closer to mainstream (<< $800), if necessary.
