He has also shown he does not fear anything his opponents may say and, if proven wrong, is willing to reconsider his position. If free speech, the very basis of democracy, is to work, it requires a free marketplace of ideas.

Yes, there are name callers and vulgarity arteestes. They will do themselves in, for reasonable will note what they do and value their posts accordingly.

Got a problem with longnshort? There's Ignore, there's NEXT, and there's Remove. Any of them will remove that problem. A muzzle simply shows your own fear.
