How do you tell English from Germans by physical appearance only - ignoring cues like fashion, etc.?

Facial features only.

Take the following sample (n = 3)

Gerhard Schroeder
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Claudia Schiffer

vs.

Tony Blair
Pierce Brosnan
Kate Beckinsale

If handed a set of three photos grouped into two sets as shown above, I think many people could correctly identify English Isles, vs. Germanic European. The people listed above, are unfortunately well known, but for you and I to communicate, that is the case. Please ignore that aspect, and just study the appearances.

More to the point, if I were handed two groups of photos (population samples) with n = 30, I think I could with 95% accuracy, pick which one was Germanic, and which one was English Isles. Random samples and all that...

In fact, I'm inclined to crawl a bit further out on a limb, and say that with some practice, given n=30, I think I could tell English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish apart.

I also assume you understand the significance of n = 30, and will not comment on n = 1 as many people might!
