SUMA:

If you believe that BBC and NPR are centrist, that is a reflection of your perspective. Perhaps NPR has become more centrist since I last listened to it. Overnight conversions have been known to happen. I listened to liberally biased reporting on NPR yesterday.

Do you know Robert Murdoch who owns most of the media is a BIG Bush supporter. Now, you would have me believe that that in no way effect the news those media enterprises publish...??

Murdoch is a businessperson first. He knows that forcing his newsroom to produce slanted news is not the road to higher profits. He allows people like O'Reiley who is reviled by the right and the left as a tool of the other to keep his show; it is because he makes Murdoch richer. Fifty years ago, the FMSM were similarly motivated. Now the liberals are entrenched in the FMSM newsrooms. Because you want to believe that centrist is right wing, I predict that you will not digest any of this. FOX is a god example of a moderate to very slightly conservative news source because more profits are available by serving to most people. There is no market fro them among the ultra liberal, because the big five FMSM serve it quite well.

Michael Eisner is a big Democrat donor. Sumner Redstone hurriedly made a donation and publicly praised Republicans after the controversy over Rather's fraud boiled over.

It is difficult to find the FACTS anymore that are not unbiased.

You are 110% correct. Journalism used to mean reporting the facts and letting the reader / listener / viewer form their own opinions. Now it means selecting the story by applying an opinion filter, then slanting it to dramatically present the author's (editor) opinion. This is crafted to draw the consumer into make the same conclusion.

However if you really want to read some very LIBERAL publications I can provide them and then you will see the BCC and NPR are moderate....

Alternatively, moderately liberal. Like you, SUMA, I am curious. Bring it on.
