First, LOL, Michal.

What dangers? Well, only one that I'm aware of but it's a biggie. I have it on very good authority that marijuana users are typically not ambitious people, even if they might otherwise be inclined to be ambitious.

Case in point: Yours truly. Clean for 18 years. Ambitious for exactly as long.

Okay, one other danger, and one that my daughter knows about based on an experience I related to her. Burning one in advance of doing one's State trumpet solo to calm one's nerves is a VERY bad idea. Playing trumpet with a major case of cottonmouth is darned near impossible. To the extent that it can prompt the judge to interrupt your solo at the midway point and tell you to go drink lots and lots of water and come back in a few hours.

Embarassing!

I don't think of marijuana as a "gateway" drug, and the commercials that showed a stoned driver killing a pedestrian were among the most offensive I've ever seen. Alcohol is far more dangerous. But it's legal (as it should be).

I think marijuana should be legalized (I agree with an earlier statement about the huge waste of taxpayer dollars fighting it) and think drunk driving should be considered the same as attempted vehicular manslaughter.

Edit: Besides, the drug culture is a riot! Cheech and Chong. The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers. Anyone but me have those comix?
