I heard from a friend that IPM prevailed today in a permanent injunction against the Arizona Department of Mines and Mineral Resources. The ADOMM mandate is to run a rock museum and promote mining in Arizona. They have no legal or statutory authority to regulate, review or even comment on mining companies in Arizona. Needless to say they have caused much damage to IPM (see internet comments on this thread by Desert Fox or ADOMM director Mason Coggin) and its shareholders over many years. For those that still do not understand here is comparison: The office of tourism for the State of Arizona has the same type of mandate as the ADOMM. Imagine if they were promoting Arizona as a vacation spot and made disparaging comments about Holiday Inns that no one should stay there nor become a shareholder.
