But Intel doesn't have AMD's crappy low density cache. If AMD could get their cache density close to that of Dothan production capacity would instantly increase 30% or more. Alternatively, AMD could double the L2 cache sizes and still shrink the die area or produce dual core 512KB L2 cache (x2) CPUs which are only a bit larger than single core Opteron.
