"I myself clarified in a later post that there were some examples of cannibalism in animals but that only humans practiced RITUALISTIC cannibalism, etc."

I seem to have skipped that conversation, but I'd note that since "ritualistic cannibalism" is essentially a symbolic act, it is not something that most scientists would think a non-human animal capable of. Aren't you comparing apples to oranges here? Furthermore, if you were originally criticizing humans because they practice cannibalism, and felt a need (because other animals do that, too) to clarify it as "ritualistic cannibalism", aren't you then really criticizing human ritual, not cannibalism per se?

Just wondering.
