Taikun started a discussion of Titanium Corp and heavy minerals extraction from oilsands tailings on the Canadian REIT and Trusts thread. On that thread, I explained why the oilsands tailings would not be profitable ores for TiO.

Once I looked into Titanium Corp (TIC), I realized they aren't using the whole tailings stream, but are using only a small stream that comes from the centrifuge plant. They have two things going for them:
1) Heavy minerals are more concentrated in this stream
2) They are going after zircon, which, in this case, is probably more valuable than the Titanium minerals.

I just started looking at Titanium Corp and don't have a position. They might not be hopeless optimists, however, so I'll study them more closely.
