I highly recommend IB for speed and cheapness of transaction costs. They do shut down however each night from 10:00PM chicgo until about 2:00 AM (3:00 AM perhaps). Unless you want to trade currencies in that timeframe it is not a serious drawback. They do not have options on futures either. Equity options yes, but nothing on currencies of oil or eurodollars. They only trade electronic markets so no corn or beans. If you can live with the restrictions, IB has a nice setup. Highly recommended. Mish
