Re: Injunction against AZDOMM

I haven't seen the court opinion, but that sounds like generally good news...although it's a little difficult to understand that commenting on mining companies wouldn't be within the scope of AZDOMM's authority..given a mandate as broad as "promoting mining in Arizona," I could certainly see the argument that ferreting out and warning about scam mining companies would, in the long run, serve to promote mining in Arizona. Especially if the court gave a broad reading to the implementing statute, which it arguably should do, given the public interest at stake...

Not that IPM is a scam, of course, which leads me to what I wish had been the basis for the court's opinion...not that AZDOMM hasn't the authority, but that AZDOMM abused its authority by disseminating false, defamatory, info about IPM. This would more directly answer the issues that are of concern to the investing public, and would tend to vindicate IPM.

So, I guess we wait for vindication from BD, just like before

And until then, at least one potential source of slings and arrows has been gagged. Good deal!

CR, did you hear anything about damages?

Regards, Otter
