James, The only thing that kept FDR in office, was WW2, and that was the only way the great depression could be stopped. The voters back then, failed to see that none of his program were working to solve the problem with the economy. He, also, much like LBJ, knew where the skeletons of every member of Congress were buried, and used them to coerce the votes in Congress.
He is also responsible for the death of every person during the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor. Any military man that knows anything about deployment of troops, knows that you never bring an entire fleet into harbor at the same time. The military leaders of that day pleaded with Roosevelt to scatter the fleet so it would not be such an easy target, and were very close to mutiny to prevent the slaughter, but FDR gave an executive order to mass the fleet in Pearl. Roosevelt knew that the Japanese were on the verge of an attack, because he trashed every agreement we had with them, and was informed that the Japanese fleet had sailed from two bases in Japan, and were coming together at sea. As a result, the American fleet was almost destroyed, and it was done for the evil purpose of arousing the American people to go to war. If it had not been for Bull Halsey faking engine trouble with his two carrier task forces the Japanese could have been in a position to invade the mainland of America, and more people, civilians, would have died, along with brave soldiers, sailors, and marines, that tried to stop them without the support of the fleet, and the war planes that went with it.
Roosevelt was not a hero, or an honest American. You should read something other than edited history texts before you show your ass, as you have just done. |
