Ild, I am not aware of data of total gold sale in China. But seems does not matter much. I read that during1998 and 2003, the domestic demand for gold jewelry in China dropped year by year. Thus instead of importing 100 tons of gold each year, China had exported a couple of dozens of tons of gold each year for the last 6 years. From 2004, the demand of gold in China starts to increase somewhat. BTW, Chinese usually buy gold when the price is up<g>

So seems to me that the gold production in China can meet its domestic demand for now, although there is a possibility China will buy some from international market for its foreign reserve.
