Mq, people will adapt to global warming the same way they did to the falling price of their Globalstar shares. Which is to do nothing until it's too late.

The teeming masses living near sea level will make minor adaptions to a rising sea, and then be wiped out during storms, quakes, and tsunamis. Look at New Orleans sitting below sea level with it's puny dikes and pumps, waiting patiently for the inevitable wipe-out.
