Please stop taking my remarks out of context. This is what I said:

"Republican and Democratic administrations have used all of the tools of the CIA for decades in dirty tricks all over the world, to support American interests. I am not blaming the Bush administration for all that. I do think Americans should be more aware of all the incredibly evil, dirty things its government is involved in. America is not the incredibly pure land of freedom that most people believe it is."

It is clear that I am saying that many U.S. presidents of both parties were involved in using the C.I.A. That is not at all contradictory to my remark that Bush is responsible for demonizing Saddam Hussein in order to convince Americans that the war in Iraq was a good idea (even though he wasn't in office when the Hussein became a CIA operative or we helped put the Baathist party in power, etc.) Bush had to demonize Saddam to make him an enemy worthy of going to war over, even though we support tyrants and dictators who kill their own citizens all over the globe. I am not sure why this is so difficult to understand. Certainly, ripping my post apart and distorting what I said is time consuming and has no apparent purpose that I can see except to be hostile. Why would you want to do that?
