IKM, I thought I would get a bite! Good, I get to make a speech. Ramsey will NOT be happy! Would you like to say what prejudices you think I have? I have pre-judged something. Hmmm. I wonder what? I could give my "keep racist governments off the backs of taxpayers" speech; stop any reference to skin defences against bright light as part of government policy.

Prejudice = Preconceived opinion, usually unfavourable. An unjustified and unreasonable bias.

Racist = The assumption that the characteristics and abilities of an individual are determined by race and that one race is biologically superior to another. A political program or social system based on these assumptions.

Prejudging what you meant, I thought my meaning was perfectly clear. Black people became black to protect their skins against ultraviolet light. Do you disagree with that? The government of the USA has used this handy ability to give some of them preferential tax favours - those with intellectual ability and those with businesses who seek government contracts. That is a quite immoral use of taxpayers' money. They take their labour by force, using the tax department, police, courts and if need be, army, without reward and give it to their pals. It is racist, it is immoral, it should be left behind in the muck of the 20th century. You know, it is very like slavery. Though recalcitrant taxpayers are only jailed, not whipped or lynched.

Worse still, they pretend they are helping disadvantaged people. They are not. Disadvantaged people do not have high ability, they do not have businesses. They have low ability. They have bad parents. They need protection and help in infancy especially. If there are any taxes to be spent, they should be spent on requiring mothers who are in the crap to be good mothers, their children's nutrition and infant development protected and nurtured and their deadbeat fathers hounded down and forced, by taxes, police, courts, prisons and the point of a gun to produce goods and services to fund their children.

Then the real sufferers in the community get the help they need. They will be less likely to grow up bitter and vicious.

Today, a friend of one of my daughters is dead. He was one of the most disadvantaged. He was 14 or 15. I don't know the circumstances, but affirmative action, which we also have here by other names, did not help him! He did not die from ill health or accident.

Now, tell me what you think my prejudices are please.

Of course, the concept of "race" is another speech I would like to make. I don't think it is a valid concept. But come to think of it, I do think that people with brown skin are biologically superior to those with white in warding off the effects of sun. I wonder if that is racist? It is a circular argument, define race by that characteristic, which is biological, then define racist as any recognition that there is a biological difference. Hmmm. I need jfred here.

PS: Others have made completely off topic posts, including some from a wild Q-dog who comes racing in here barking and snapping. I should quickly add: some of my best friends are dogs.
