It's akin to a religion with them.

I had CNN on for about an hour and a half early this morning as I was trying to make up my mind whether to go back to sleep or get moving. It was about the time you were writing the post to which I am responding. They had a lot of coverage of the Iraqi elections. (Christianne Amanpour told me, among other things, about how many Iraqis there are living in Israel and how, unlike other ex-pats, they can't vote because Iraq doesn't have diplomatic relations with Israel.)

I was struck by how hopeful and upbeat the coverage was. Nary a disparaging word. FWIW.
