Redneck is in common usage as an acceptable word to use. I did not use it as insult--calling one of our lovely conservative posters here a redneck or anything remotely similar. I used it in a descriptive way, to describe a family in a film. I did a google search (my very favorite) and came up with 72,700 hits looking for million dollar baby review redneck. I only looked at the first page--I'm not asserting that every one of the 72,700 pertains to that film review--but the first page does. Obviously, your attempt to criticize me for using a word used newspapers and magazines in many many reviews of the film I was writing about is just a cheap shot. I am so tired of this kind of behavior. If you really care, why don't you contact all of those publications and the reviewers specifically and tell them how offended you are.
