No, it was a lot easier than that. I couldn't think of a better or different word either. It was an exercise that proved to me why they settled on the name War on Terror...I too, think there must be something more apt. We can't call it a religious war, heaven forbid that we would be so "insensitive"...:~/ But it needs some way of describing a situation that is VERY insensitive...

When was the last time we ever remember anyone in a position of power in the US saying to anyone anywhere anything like what bin Laden said to Americans? And then acting on what he said they would do...

Paper, Rock, Scissors? War of the Roses? Thirty Year War? War in the Sand? Dirty War? (actually after seeing the HBO movie....Dirty War is apt)
