2005 - Memaninte used for Catatonia (2005 - neurosciencealliance) <EDIT> <<<<<<<<<<<< Dr. Carroll has found that an off label use for Namenda/Memantine has shown critical improvements in the treatment of "Catatonia". While this is still in the very early stages of research, some of his patients with catatonia showed a remarkable improvement using low doses of Namenda/Memantine. Dr. Carroll feels that the problem lies with the "Glutamate Receptor/NMDA" "The Channel is always on and Namenda/Memantine allows the channel to turn off".
