James, Actually, I don't think the "Ask God" thread is the right venue for political discussions. Politics seems to always turn into a verbal saloon brawl. Even though the thread was never intended to be a religious forum, that is all it has been for the years I have been on SI, so it should be considered such, and discussions of other topics should be done on an appropriate thread. There are sure enough of them to cover any debate.

Although we have different view points on the Bible, I feel that we both believe in the existence of God, and worship Jesus Christ as our Lord, and Savior. It seems to me that is the main anchor of Christianity.
