Hi Dave..

Yes, I trade with Lombard and they have excellent, intraday, real time charting. (Except when their computers are down, which happened for an hour and a half mid day today.) I can't give you an average because it wouldn't mean anything. I bot some Aug 635 and 640 calls that I rode out the crash with-- about three weeks and ended up selling at a nice profit Friday. That was my longest. The shortest has been several hours. It also depends on how many I buy. If I buy 10 ks, I'm looking to get out with a full point or two fast. Whereas yesterday I bot 2 ks Sep 610p and may hold them several weeks. Kevin today, I think, bot 640 calls and bailed when the market turned at about 10:30 EST. I saw the change and was tempted, but there was no value built in the 610p s. The market is definitely thinking bullish as they fell rapidly when the market when into plus territory.

As I predicted the big upsurge (see My July 22nd #1031 on What did you do thread), I'm near to predicting another crash soon. The market today was enemic and has run out of steam. Whether Friday's news will help or not, I don't know. One day it doesn't respond to good news and goes down, the next it acts positive on little news.

That's a long answer for a little question, but sometimes I like to write out my thots. It helps me see the strategy better. The more I think about it, the more I like the short side of the OEX for the next few months.

:o)
